Synopsis of Sarkar Raj:
Movie Review:
Before release promotions and campaigns made the audience watch the movie ‘Sarkar Raj’. And what has been anticipated, the movie surpasses the prequel, Sarkar, in every feature. Agreed, Ram Gopal Varma’s unpredictable business of making remakes and follow-ups proved to be successful when people came out of the cinemas with loads of praises for the movie. After the flop film Aag which was the remake of Sholay Ram Gopal Varma should be done something like this to recover the flop film and the loss.
All the viewers who had watched his number of movies like Shiva and Satya and considered them to be best hits they should watch Sarkar Raj. Ramu had worked hard to present the real look and feel of the central characters, set the feel, defined the impression and renowned genre of films. Accordingly, in the sequel, he just had to take the story to the fore while describing a new affair. Actually, he has achieved the heritage ahead to a decent extent.
In the second part, Sarkar aka Subhash Nagre (Amitabh Bachchan) gets hold of a backseat as his son Shankar Nagre (Abhishek Bachchan) assumes controls of the family empire. Anita Ranjan (Aishwarya Rai), who is an NRI manufacturer, gets on to the Nagre family with an offer to establish a power plant project in the local constituency of Maharashtra under Sarkar’s domination. After primary disinclination, Sarkar grants the project which soon changes into a political scheme.
The storytelling pattern is such that the drama is initially built up and the politics behind the play is broken down later. Ramu has engaged all the original techniques of Sarkar by using the same crew for the background music (Amar Mohile), editing (Amit Parmar, Nipun Gupta), and impulsive camera angles (Amit Roy). However, while adhering to the original, Ramu has brought repetitiveness, irregularly, in the script with similar setup and shot execution.
Like, he has outlined a group of unhelpful forces in the same manner like the rogue quartet from Sarkar with intentions to crush the Nagre Empire. Considerably, the story of the film has been written ancestor film just when Shankar stimulates a political issue with his opponent party. But Ramu changes the situation by creating the father-son duo in the film in which father takes backseat in the beginning part of the film handing over the authority to his son, he grabs charge of the events in the later half.
From a political background, the film randomly changes way to a usual revenge drama till it arrives to a spontaneous peak that forms a show up of the venture, raising the whole graph. Sarkar Raj markedly gains major stars for its clever finale, which was actually lacking from the recent movies of Ramu. Aishwarya Rai appears to be her usual self and her acting doesn’t seem to be deceived. But the role of father and son Bachchan showed their acting skills to the vision of Ram Gopal Varma. Generally, Sarkar Raj is an excellent film that is success story at the box-office.
