Movie Review: Ugly Aur Pagli is a comedy film which has been directed by Sachin Kamlakar Khot. The both have lately released their comedy film Pyar Ke Side Effects. Now they are back with the film Ugly Aur Pagli and the music of the film has been composed by Anu Malik on the lyrics penned down by Amitabh Varma. The film had been released on 25 July 2008 under the banner of Pritish Nandy Communications Ltd. The star cast includes Mallika Sherawat, Ranvir Shorey, Manish Anand, Tinu Anand, Sushmita Mukherjee, Vihang Nayak, Bharti Achrekar and Sapna Bhavnani.

The story of the film rotates around the life of Kabir a.k.a Ugly (Ranvir and Kuhu a.k.a Pagli (Malika). Kabir is a young fellow who is studying engineering for the last ten years and he is a boring guy and having a boring times and he is quite happy with it. There is just one thing that he always pines for, a loving girlfriend. One cold winter night, at Victoria Terminus Station (Mumbai), he meets Pagli and since that time, his life is never the same. Pagli takes him on a whirlwind tour of the world, which turns his life totally upside down.

She is a completely insufferable girl, who is full of wit, is very strong-headed and has never ever known the meaning of ‘being in control’. She has the ability to fascinate you with her charm and then, leave you in a state of total chaos and confusion. Behind this wild outer personality is a touching girl who is going through a personal crisis. However, the problem with Pagli is that the only way she knows to deal with her crisis is to have someone else also go through the same pain and hurt.

Ugly gets ensnared by her charm and becomes the victim of her revenge on the other human species. He completely fits her picture of a guy, whom she wants to make fall madly in love with her and then, totally wreck his life. As the nerdy Ugly tries to escape from the clutches of Pagli, he finds himself falling more in love with her. Will Ugly run away after suffering the quirks of Pagli or will he be able to discover the true girl that she is.
