Movie Review: The film ‘Zinda’ is an Indian film which was released in 2006 and directed by Sanjay Gupta who has also directed number of hit film like Kaante and Musafir. The music of the film has been provided by Vishal-Shekhar and Sanjay Choudhary. The story of the film revolves around the life of Balajeet Roy who was a software engineer by profession and was leading a happy married life with his wife Nisha. One day, Balajeet was caught and locked in a dark, dirty room wherein he spent 14 years of his life for no reason and he now wants to know that what was the reason that he had locked but he had forgotten everything about it.

There is a TV, which lets him know about the activities of the outer world. And an unknown face serves him wantons everyday. Days run into weeks, weeks into months and months in years. Fourteen years run in an instant. After fourteen years of loneliness one day he is freed. Now Bala wants answers to all those burning questions.

Why was he imprisoned in the first place and why was he released fourteen years later? Sanjay Dutt has given his best act. He rips the screen apart with his acting. John Abraham is not far behind; he is a disclosure in this film. Lara has relatively a short role but she made felt her presence. Rest provides plenty of support. On the whole ‘Zinda’ is an excellent film told in a very exclusive method.
