Movie Review: The film ‘Tashan’ is an Indian film released in 2008 and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and a production of Yash Raj Films. The music of the film has been provided by the famous music duo Vishal-Shekhar. The starring of the film included Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles.

If you have had your fill of drama and grimness, and are looking for some Bollywood-style amusement, Tashan is just the film for you. The film is an out and out entertainer, with plenty of action and fun, and will undeniably keep you obsessed. The script, although with several twists and turns, controls to engage your concentration. The best part is that the film does not overact any of the aspects and keeps them within logical limits. In case of Tashan, one needs to commend the dialogue writers, who certainly manage to make you smile.

The lines give the impression to come as enjoyable refreshments. Though the movie presents style quotient in abundance, it does not direct to a drop in the storyline or the performance. As you look behind all the show and glamour, you get to see that not only does the story move further, but the characters grow with it also. Except for a few get-outs here and there, Tashan manages to impress you. The locales are good and the style quotient pretty high. If the editing would have been as good as Aki Narula's clothes, the movie could have been termed just right.

As far as performances concerned, Anil Kapoor did justice to his character and his character as the don being dangerous but also manages to make you laugh with his flawless performance. Akshay Kumar deserves your round applause for his part of perfection and gets into the character. Kareena Kapoor is doing what she was made-up to do, look sexy. However, she did the best to deliver a good performance. After Omkara and Race, much more was expected from Saif. However, the role failed to do justice to him. All in all, if you are in for some entertainment, Tashan is a movie worth spending those bucks!
