Movie Review: ‘Balika Badhu’ directed by Tarun Majumdar and released in the year 1976. The genre of the film is family drama and R D Burman was the music director of the film and the starring of the film includes Sachin,Rajni Sharma,Asrani,A.K. Hangal,Prema Narayan,Urmila Bhatt,Paintal,Asit Sen,Om Shivpuri,Preeti Ganguli,Kajri,Master Panna.
The story revolves around the life of a young school going boy Amal and who is soon to get married to a girl named Rajni. The story of the film describes the tradition of young marriage of girls in India. Amal gets married with Rajni and they two are left isolated to make their relationship and friendship between them.
Then the bride must return to her home until they are ready to live together. Amal starts his studies again with Masterji his teacher. His life is enlivened rarely when Rajni is permitted to visit. She decided to meet him on the Durga Pooja, but did not come. She visited Amal at Vijay Dashami and stayed with him for some nights and after that she went to Tirth Yatra with her family, where they are planned to visit all the holy places in India namely, Benaras, Gaya, Mathura, Vrindavan, Hardwar, Nasik, Hrishikesh, Dwarka, Rameshwaram, Kamakshya, Puri, and Konarak. But before that could happen their little world is shattered when the gentle Masterji is arrested by the police for being a "Freedom-fighter", harboring and training fugitives, and making explosives. Watch whether this incident will have an impact on Amal and Rajni or otherwise.
